Lipo 360 before and after results change a lot over the first year. At one month, the waist is smaller but still swollen and firm. By about three months, most swelling has gone and the new shape is clear. By six months to a year, the contour has settled and scars have faded.
This guide is part of our lipo 360 overview, which explains the procedure, candidates and cost.
Results timeline
Lipo 360 before and after changes come in stages, because swelling, firmness and numbness fade at different speeds.
| Time | What you’ll usually see | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 to 2 | Bruising, swelling, waist may look bigger than expected | Wear compression, walk daily |
| Weeks 3 to 5 | Visible change as bruising fades | Return to light activity |
| 1 month | Smaller waist, firm or lumpy patches | Keep garment as advised |
| 6 weeks | Most of the change visible | Gradual return to exercise |
| 3 months | Clear new shape; some swelling left | Judge shape, not final detail |
| 6 months to 1 year | Settled contour; scars faded | Final review with your surgeon |
An American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS, US) blog says results show in weeks three to five, with the full scope at about six weeks and beyond. Cleveland Clinic says swelling can take three to six months to resolve fully, and the NHS says bruising and swelling can last up to six months, with numbness for six to eight weeks.
Lipo 360 before and after 1 month
At four weeks, most people see a slimmer waist in clothes but feel hard or uneven areas under the skin. This is normal swelling and healing, not the final result. In my practice, I tell patients not to judge the shape until at least three months, and to compare photos taken in the same light and pose.
Before and after gallery
Lipo before and after photos are only useful when pose, lighting, timing and body weight match in both pictures.
We don’t show a gallery here, because our own patient photos need individual consent and computer-made images would be misleading. Use these checks when you view any surgeon’s gallery:
| Criterion | Good sign | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Views | Front, sides and back | Front only |
| Timing | Dated, 3 months or later | No date or a few days after |
| Pose and light | Same stance and lighting | Twisting, flexing, side light |
| Skin | Smooth, even contour | Dents, ripples or edited skin |
| Weight | Similar or stated | Large weight change |
Contour irregularities, sometimes permanent, are among the risks listed by Mayo Clinic, so ask to see the backs and sides of patients with a body type like yours. Results by area are in liposuction before and after by area.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Answers on the one-month look, when results are final, lumpiness, weight gain and whether the waist keeps improving.
What does lipo 360 look like after 1 month?
Smaller but still swollen. An ASPS blog says change shows in weeks three to five, but firmness and swelling remain. Cleveland Clinic says swelling can take three to six months to resolve, so the one-month look isn’t final.
When are lipo 360 results final?
Usually between three and six months, with small improvements up to a year. The NHS says swelling can last up to six months. Judge the final shape with your surgeon after that point, not in the early weeks.
Why is my waist lumpy after lipo 360?
Early lumps are usually swelling and healing tissue, which soften over weeks to months. Mayo Clinic lists contour irregularities as a possible risk, sometimes permanent. If lumps remain after six months, ask your surgeon about options.
Can fat come back after lipo 360?
Removed fat cells don’t return, but remaining fat cells can grow. Weight gain, per Mayo Clinic, may add fat to untreated areas, including the abdomen. A stable weight keeps the result longest.
