Mommy makeover cost in the US is often about $15,000 to $20,000 in total, according to an American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS, US) blog. The price depends on which procedures you combine: 2024 surgeon fees ranged from $8,000 to $13,500 for a tummy tuck and $6,500 to $11,000 for a breast lift, before anaesthesia, facility and garments.
This guide is part of our mommy makeover overview, which explains each procedure.
Cost table
Mommy makeover cost is the sum of each procedure’s fee plus shared costs such as anaesthesia, facility time and aftercare.
| Procedure | US surgeon fee (2024 range) | UK guide (NHS) |
|---|---|---|
| Tummy tuck | $8,000 to $13,500 | About £5,000 to £10,000 |
| Breast lift | $6,500 to $11,000 | Not listed |
| Breast augmentation | $4,575 to $8,000 | Not listed here |
| Breast reduction | $7,000 to $12,500 | About £6,500 |
| Liposuction | $4,300 to $7,500 | About £3,000 to £8,500 |
| Typical combined total | About $15,000 to $20,000 | Not listed |
Surgeons often charge less for a second procedure done in the same operation than if it were booked alone, so the total is usually lower than adding the fees. UK figures are typical NHS-quoted private prices for each operation alone.
Factors
The number of procedures, operating time, anaesthesia, implants, overnight care and the surgeon’s experience drive the final price.
- Procedures combined: ASPS says the price varies with the surgeries chosen.
- Surgeon experience and location: fees are higher in high-cost cities.
- Facility and anaesthesia: charged by time; a five-hour operation costs more than a two-hour one.
- Implants and garments: listed by ASPS as separate costs.
- Medicines and tests: prescriptions, blood tests and imaging.
- Overnight stay: ASPS blogs advise at least 24 hours of supervised recovery.
In my practice, the quote always lists each item separately, because a single package price makes it hard to see what’s missing.
Financing
Many surgeons offer payment plans, but insurance rarely covers a mommy makeover because it’s cosmetic surgery.
ASPS says many surgeons offer patient financing plans. Check the interest rate, the total repayable and what happens if you need further treatment. Insurance usually doesn’t pay for cosmetic procedures; a breast reduction for neck and back pain or removal of an overhanging skin apron may qualify under separate medical rules, with written pre-approval. ASPS also says a surgeon’s experience and your comfort with them matter as much as the price.
Near me
Searching mommy makeover near me shows surgical clinics and spas; check who operates, where and how aftercare is handled.
- Surgeon: a qualified plastic surgeon; in the UK, check the General Medical Council specialist register.
- Facility: an accredited operating theatre with overnight care.
- Consultation: face to face with the operating surgeon, rather than a sales adviser.
- Aftercare: who you call at night, and what complications cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Answers on insurance, monthly payment plans, whether combining procedures saves money and what quotes leave out.
Does insurance cover a mommy makeover?
Usually not, because it’s cosmetic. A breast reduction for documented pain, or removal of an overhanging skin apron for medical reasons, may be covered under separate rules. Ask your insurer for written pre-approval before booking.
Is it cheaper to combine procedures?
Often, because you pay for one anaesthetic, one facility booking and one recovery. Combined operations are longer, though, and a surgeon may stage them three to six months apart for safety, which adds a second set of fees.
Can I pay for a mommy makeover monthly?
Many clinics offer financing, and ASPS advises asking about payment plans. Compare the interest rate and total repayable, and avoid borrowing under time pressure. Make sure the plan covers any follow-up or revision costs.
What isn’t included in a mommy makeover quote?
Some quotes leave out anaesthesia, facility time, implants, garments, medicines or blood tests. ASPS lists all of these as possible costs. Ask for an itemised quote and what happens if you need extra care.
If you’d like an itemised quote, you can book a consultation with Metropole Clinic by ABmedi. For all options, return to the mommy makeover hub.
